VivaVegie Society, the sponsoring organization for THE FIRST VEGGIE PRIDE PARADE IN AMERICA is in need of support to pay a number of expenses of this parade.

Far and away, the main expense is the sound system to carry the great musicical performance of rock superstar Cheryl Hill. Between the band's signature requirments and the generator to power the amplifiers, those costs come to $3,250.

Other than this, we will have a tent on stage. It will cost $600.

To rent tables (10) for exhibitors, will come to about $500.

Banners and vests for the marshals and ambassadors will come to about $450.

We need to post a bond to the city for use of Washington Square Park for the post-parade rally. This is estimated at anywhere from $500 to $1,000.

Web site design and maintenence $3,000.

The permits came to about $120.

So far, these costs amount to a total of $7,820.

Anything extra we receive over these initial costs will go to photocopies and publicity.

And, of course, we always need to pay the rent, and the electric and phone bill for our office, but this is usually covered by general revenues.
